If you’ve ever been to Disney World, you know that the tagline for Disney Parks, “The Place Where Dreams Come True”, really is true. It doesn’t matter if you are a small child or 100 years old, you can’t help but smile when you walk into Disney.
Walt Disney’s character has been described in many ways, but above all, he was a dreamer. Walt Disney left us a place where we could let our dreams and imagination run wild. Just a small portion of that is caught in some of the quotes he left us too.
“If you can dream it, you can do it.”
“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
It’s fantastic to see children dreaming. They dream without boundaries, without limits. The future is as bright and as exciting as can be. But, as we get older, we start putting boundaries on what’s possible, we limit ourselves, and our futures don’t look very bright.
Tomorrow’s challenge will help you start to change that.
Day 10 Challenge – Dream With Your Spouse
Your challenge for Day 10 is to dream with your spouse. Stop life’s activities, sit together, and have a conversation about your dreams.
Remove all of the boundaries and dream without limits – no financial limits, no time limits, just dreams.
Here are a few questions to ask each other to get started:
- If we could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
- If you could pick one thing to do together, what would it be?
- If the kids were gone, we had no bills and plenty of money, what would you want to do with your time?
- What is your dream job?
- Before you die, what’s one legacy you want to leave behind?
For The Overachievers
Another thing Walt Disney said was, ““All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Find a dream you’re both passionate about and start pursuing it. Start making a plan.
Enjoy the process of dreaming together, of building your future together. Too many people settle for life as it is. You’re better than that. You can chase your dreams and impact the world. You just need the courage start.
